               Broken Heart

   Find me a heart that can't be broken

              she laments

       as a tiny heart shaped shell

          crumbles in her hand

          surrenders to the sand

         drawn back to its sea

         watching quiet daybreak

          spill over the horizon

              she wonders 

         if there is such a thing

               he turns

              answers

        one finger on her chest

           one against his own

                in here

                a heart

               protected

                a love

             unbreakable

            solid as stone

                sound

                safe

             in my sights
